We love using printables to supplement summer camp activities, alongside homeschool learning, and as indoor boredom busters. You can use these pages as part of a week-long DIY summer camp or anytime for kids who love pirates.
Make it a whole week of fun with these themed ideas:

Printable kids’ activity sheets
This printable PDF bundle includes 15 activities across 20 pages for screen-free playtime. Get a closer look at a few of our favorites below.
Color by number
We love a color-by-number activity at Backyard Summer Camp! All of our color-by-number pages are designed on a 15 by 15 grid. That means you won’t know what the picture is until you color it (although we do include an answer key, just in case).
Print this activity sheet and color it with crayons, colored pencils, or even paint.
As a hint, the instructions for this printable read, “Color each box to match the number in the key to discover the Earth’s best friend!”
Roll and move dice
Printables are usually indoor activities, but we included a printable die to get kids up and moving. Each of the 6 sides has an action for astronaut training.
Print and cut, then fold and glue the edges to assemble. After the glue dries, roll the die and do that action.
Space puzzles
This activity bundle includes several puzzles to solve, including a space explorer maze, word scramble, and word search.
Creative activities
Our favorite kids’ activities are ones that challenge them to think creatively. Open-ended activities get kids thinking about fun what-if questions. For this design a planet worksheet, there is a big empty circle and a few questions to prompt ideas. There are no wrong answers!
