How to make a rainbow bead bracelet
Supplies
Note: We tried this with the elastic cord (pictured in the supplies) but weren’t happy with the result. Cotton isn’t stretchy but looks better.
- pony beads
- cotton cord
- scissors

Instructions
1. Cut the cord and thread a bead.
Cut a length of cord at least 24 inches long. Thread a red bead and slide it to the center, folding the cord in half. Tie the cord in an overhand knot.

2. Repeat adding beads.
Add an orange bead and tie another knot.

Continue adding beads, alternating with a knot after each one. Repeat until the bracelet is long enough to fit around your wrist.

3. Tie the bracelet.
When you’re happy with the bracelet length, tie an extra knot. To wear the bracelet, thread one end of the cord through the red bead at the beginning. Loop the ends and tie a knot. Trim any extra cord.

These rainbow bead bracelets make a fun summer craft for all ages. Make a bunch to share with friends!
