Summer is the perfect time to learn about the color yellow! It’s such a warm and sunny color, you’ll find it everywhere.
In addition to practicing color recognition, we collected crafts that will encourage hand-eye coordination, cutting and pasting, and other kindergarten readiness skills.
Yellow is next to orange on the color spectrum and sometimes things in the real world can be in-between, making it tricky to learn. We recommend sticking with the “crayon yellow” shade while teaching to make it easier!

- Yellow is a primary color. Try using it alongside the other primary colors with these red crafts and blue crafts.
